I love to get new hair products. Until I had kids, I never went anywhere without fixing my hair. Of course, when they came along, I no longer had the time to do this. I always make sure they look presentable but sometimes I forget about myself. It usually takes me about 25 minutes to fix my hair and honestly I have other things that are more important to do.
Misikko is a company that has so many great hair products including Professional Flat Irons. When I was told I would be able to do a review/giveaway of one of their flat irons I was so excited. I received a flat iron in the mail and my first impression was “Wow”. The box was so beautifully packaged. There were good smelling roses and beautiful ribbons inside along with my flat iron. I wasn’t sure if I would include this next part but I decided to because one of the things I have been impressed with about Misikko is their excellent customer service. The flat iron that I was sent first was not the Corioliss. It was a different brand and was very nice. After I used it the first time, it broke. I contacted Misikko and was immediately told they would send me a different flat iron to review. I couldn’t believe their generosity or professionalism. They are certainly a company that strives for customer satisfaction. I received my new Corioliss Flat Iron in the mail shortly thereafter.
Again, the box was beautiful. This picture is after my daughter took a few of the roses for her drawers because she thought they smelled so nice and she loves purple. There were also some goodies in the box like a fingernail file in a pouch and little soaps. Didn’t I tell you this was a very giving company?
I was immediately impressed with the Corioliss Classic Pro Flat Iron. It reminds me a lot of the Chi flat iron that I owned previously which you can get from Misikko. It heats up in seconds and you can vary the temperature between 140 and 410 degrees. I find that it works best on the higher temperature settings for my hair but for my daughter’s I turn it down slightly.
This flat iron is so easy to use. Be careful though because your hair is very hot after using it. It works best if you hold the strand of hair out for a few seconds to give it time to cool before letting it fall back into place (especially by your face).
I love the fact that not only does it straighten, you can also curl your hair under or flip it out. The following pictures are ones I took of my daughter after doing all three of these things. No, we won’t go out like this, but it does give you an idea of what you can do with this flat iron.

You can see on the right side what her hair looked like before we straightened it. Her hair tends to have the texture of cat fur underneath and this works great at smoothing it out. She gets the cat fur look from me which is why you don’t see my picture. :) I actually use the flat iron every day. My hair is very short and it smoothes out the fuzzies quite nicely.

The T3 tourmaline and the Ed Hardy Love Kills Hair Dryer are just a couple that they offer. I know my niece’s would love this one.
You can get your own Corioliss Classic Pro for $89.99 from Misikko. It comes with a free heat pouch to store it in. This is also great for when you travel because you can slip it in while it is still hot and you don’t have to wait for it to cool down.
Misikko also sent me the Hana Shine Shield Thermal Protectant with my flat iron. This product will protect, strengthen, and condition your hair to reduce damage caused from heat styling. It is easy to use. I love putting it in my hair wet and then blow drying as usual. You can also use it on dry hair. It tends to make my hair look a little oily when I use it on dry hair, though. I personally don’t like the smell but it didn’t make my hair smell bad, it just smelled yucky when I put it on. You can purchase the Shine Shield for $29.99, and it comes in a 6 oz. bottle. Although this sounds a little high, it is very comparable to other high end hair shields I have looked at. It is one of those things that you really do get what you pay for.
Another thing that Misikko offers that I think is really neat is the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium U Style Flat Iron. I love the fact that it is blue. I know teenagers would like these colored flat irons, also.
