Cheerios is one of my favorite cereal. And reading is one of my favorite past times. So I was thrilled when allowed to do this review and giveaway for Cheerios through My BlogSpark.
If you have been to the store lately and seen the boxes of Cheerios, you maybe noticed that there is a little book inside some of the boxes.
To help grow kids’ love of reading at a young age, this fall Cheerios® is once again inviting families to start the day with a nutritious breakfast and a new book. As part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing young bodies and minds and helping families connect by fostering a shared love of reading, Cheerios will provide more than six million children’s books, free inside Cheerios boxes, through its Spoonfuls of Stories® program. Over the past nine years, Cheerios has distributed almost 50 million children’s books in-pack.
We received a huge box of Cheerios, five really cute little books and a gift card to Barnes and Noble. Bella read all of the books as soon as I opened the package. Her favorite is titled Jump!, by Scott M. Fischer. It is the story of some really cute animals who love to jump. She has read it at least 50 times and I’m sure has it memorized by now.
The other books that you may find in the boxes of cereal are
Chaucer’s First Winter, All the World, No T Rex in the Library, and the Purple Kangaroo. Each book is in English and Spanish which is pretty cool.
