ABC Teach – TOS review

image

I received a subscription to review for the ABC Teach website.  I have looked at this website a few times before and really liked all that they offer as freebies.  So, when I learned that we were going to be able to have members access, I really didn’t know why we needed it.  From what I could see, I could download anything I was interested in as part of the free worksheets.  Boy, was a wrong.

ABC Teach offers thousands of free worksheets to enhance your homeschooling experience.   This is a great way to incorporate fun worksheets into your school day without breaking the bank.  One of the things I have regretted about homeschooling is the amount of money I have spent on things that we did not end up using.  It is so easy to get caught in the curriculum trap.  We all want our children to succeed so it is so very easy to over buy so that there are no learning gaps.  I have learned lately that there will always be learning gaps. I cannot possible teach  my children everything that there is to know.  But, you know what, neither can anyone else.   With ABC Teach, I have been able to print off many different things to help them begin this lifelong journey of learning.

Our family loved that we could make crossword puzzles out of our spelling words.   This was a lot more fun than writing the words and the kids retained the information much better this way.   One of the other things that we really enjoyed was making our own copy work pages.   We used different Bible verses and quotes for them to practice handwriting.  The website has many different types of writing styles.  It has printing, cursive and many different styles of each one of these.  No matter what handwriting curriculum you are using, you are sure to find it on this website.

You can sign up for the membership at abcteach.com where the yearly cost is only $40.00 per year or $70.00 for two years.  I think that you could probably find your whole curriculum from just this website.  Oh how I wish I had seen this before I had spent so much on wasted curriculum.   The company offered those of us who did the review the opportunity to buy the one year membership for $20.00.  The good news for you is that the website Homeschool Buyers Co-op is offering the same deal to all of you.  Wow, you can save 50% off of the regular price.  But hurry, this offer ends at the end of November.

This website is great for our family.  However, if you have a child who does not enjoy doing worksheets, then this probably would not be a great fit for your family.   What is really useful is that they have so many things you can download and use for free before you commit to the yearly membership.  I am sure that you will find something you can use from this company.  The website is very user friendly so you can find what you are looking for very easily.   What I recommend is maybe starting with one of the upcoming holidays.  There are tons of pages for Thanksgiving, Christmas and all of the other holidays that are just around the corner.
