God is Good

What a beautiful day it has been. We went to church this morning and had a wonderful service. The worship time was amazing, as usual. It was especially meaningful because we sang "Cannons" by Phil Wickam. This is my favorite song right now and the one my son is learning on the guitar. It is so cute because he gets this grin on his face when we sing a song he can play in church. I can't wait until he is up in front playing for everyone. I know it will be awhile because he is so shy.
What a proud time that will be for David and I. Of course he does get all of his musical talent from me. (Just kidding)
David and I went back to church tonight and the sermon was just as good as this mornings. Our preacher is doing a series on the book of James and I really needed to hear tonight's. What I got out of it is that I need to to act on my faith when it comes to others, not just think about it.

Kevin also mentioned the earthquake in Chile. How sad that another country is going through such a rough time. I am praying for the people of Chile and continuing to pray for the people of Haiti. He said that he believes that the end times is getting closer than ever. The Bible states that the earth will groan as the end times near. Earthquakes sure seem like the earth groaning to me. This reiterates to me that I need to get my life in shape. I want to live a life that makes Jesus smile. Please pray with me that I will strengthen in my walk with God. I want to be known as someone who shines with the light of Jesus. When you see me, I hope that you can see Jesus through me.

God Bless.

Amen girl! Pray for me with that also. When I see my children play, I'm, sadly, reminded of my faults. I'd rather see only my good things come out in their play. But, realize that the Lord is using this to refine me and then make them who He wants them to be, also. They are learning their additutes from me, after all.

You are so right, Debbie. When I hear the kids saying something hateful, sometimes I think, Oh my, I have said that exact thing and never realized it came across as that.
