Midwest Homeschool Convention

Today was my second day at the homeschool convention and I must say it gets better every year. The vendor hall is HUGE. I meant to take a picture but I forgot. I’ll try to remember one tomorrow and add it in later.

This year is extra special because I got to meet several of my fellow members on the TOS crew. It was wonderful to put a name with a face and I enjoyed meeting all of you.

Here are some pics for those of you who didn’t get to go this time.

100_5136 Ahh, Cincinnati here we come. This is the view from 471 going onto 6th street in downtown. I love to look at the skyline but would never want to live here.

This is the view that we had from the parking garage. Not too shabby, huh? I’m not sure what this building is but since there are crosses cut out in the middle, I’m guessing a church.

100_5116Ta da, the TOS crew members who traveled near and far to attend. It was too funny as we got “lots” of pictures taken. I think all of the people who had to stop because we had the aisles blocked thought we were movie stars. Okay, maybe not, but they were at least wondering why so many people were taking pictures of us. You can sure tell TOS Heidi is the boss in the this one, huh? She’s heads above the rest. All of this just depressed me, because I really thought I was taller than that. I’m thinking it’s just the camera.

We then headed down to visit the nice folks at Virginia Soaps and Scents. They are so friendly and I took the time to thank them for sending us the free goodies to review. I also stocked up on all my favorites and got some laundry soap. Click here if you would like my review for their sweet smelling soap.

Here are a couple more pictures of everyone chatting a little more. I really did enjoy meeting everyone.

I know you’re really going to be jealous when you see that even Snoopy was there. Maybe that will be enough to get you to Cincinnati next year.

100_5121I was shocked to see the horse in the middle of downtown. I’ve never seen one there before. What was really funny was he was super busy (texting on his cell phone).

Well, that is it for my convention fun, for now. If you can't make it to this one, I highly recommend going to one near your own home. It is a great way to rejuvenate and get ready for next school year.

Even if I did come home to a grouchy husband and 2 kids who act like I’ve left them for a year instead of a day, I had a great time.

Happy homeschooling!
