Laundry – I hate it.

Does anyone like doing laundry?  Wanna come do mine?  It seems like every time I do one load, three more appear out of nowhere.   I guess it has something to do with the fact that my kids and husband seem to think you have to change their clothes every day.  What is up with that?

And baths?  Why do they have to take one every day?  Do they realize the towels and washcloths don’t just jump in the washer and get back to the closet on their own?

I did 5 loads of laundry yesterday and I still can’t see the floor of my closet.   I’m thinking of putting it all in Space Bags and if we don’t miss it in the next 3 months, throwing it all away.

Do you have any great ideas about how to cut back on laundry?   Please do tell.

And, until my family quits changing their clothes and taking baths every day, you can find me in the laundry room.

Just for the record, I don’t really want my family to not bathe and wear dirty clothes.   Just a little help with the laundry.

I feel your pain. Laundry is the very devil. I think i blogged about it a few months ago.

I often tell my family that i would be ever so grateful if they would all just stand around naked long enough for me to get it all clean... they won't do it, though. {sigh}

One tip i read somewhere (probably a blog!) is to separate clothes NOT BY COLOR but by who they belong to. Have each child (of a certain ability) bring his own laundry basket of dirty clothes to the washer for you. After they are washed and dried, put them back in that child's basket and require that SHE/HE put them away. That way, no sorting!! I haven't done it yet, but it sounds good....

Other than that, i got nuthin.
Laundry is the bane....
