Keyboarding for the Christian School

Typing is a very important skill that I believe all students will need to master before finishing school.  When I was in high school, typing was an elective that mostly the girls took.  If a guy took typing, it was for an easy A.   That is no longer true.  Because of our ever increasing technology age, everyone needs to learn how to type.  Keyboarding for the Christian School might be just what your family needs to learn this all important skill.

I received Keyboarding for the Christian School to review with my children.  It comes in two different levels.  I received the upper level one which is written for grades 6 and up.  I honestly never paid attention to which one I received until my son kept getting frustrated while he was using this.   Once I saw that we had the upper level, I realized it was a little too hard for him so we stopped.

This is what they offer.

The lessons in this program are very straight forward with no frills and whistles.  This is how I learned how to type.  There were no computer games with lots of action;  we just typed and typed and typed.    I remember our teacher saying “Practice, Practice, Practice”.  As with most things, this is the best way to learn typing.  The more you do it the better you will become.

We printed out the first few lessons so that the kids could see it.  This comes in a printable eBook format which is nice.  I also think the price is very affordable.  If you order before February 28, 2010, you can save $5.00 off of the already low prices.  I am going to probably buy the elementary level so the kids can learn to type now instead of waiting until later.   Because my son hates to write, I think typing would be a great way to make school time go faster for him.

The website is clean looking and easy to navigate.  You can see what they have to offer by checking out their free samples page.  If you are looking for a no nonsense way for your child to learn keyboarding, this might be the answer for you.
