Grill Daddy - Mama Buzz Review/Giveaway

Product: Grill Daddy

Price: $19.99 plus s/h

I love when the weather becomes warm enough to grill. The only thing I don't like about grilling out is cleaning the grill before using it. I have found the perfect tool to do the job. It is called the Grill Daddy.

I can't say it any better than the creator so here goes:

The Grill Daddy (www.grilldaddy. net) is a steam powered grill-cleaning tool that sanitizes grills and eliminates the burnt on food, grease and dirt. Cleaning grills can be a difficult and time-consuming task but the alternative is far worse. Unwashed racks can house bacteria that could contaminate food and leave an unsanitary and bad taste.
Utilizing specially designed stainless-steel brushes, the Grill Daddy releases water as users brush, hitting the grill and turning to steam while
rinsing away unsanitary debris.
Other features:
· Steam-powered
· No rancid greasy residue builds up on the brush (liquefies and melts it away)
· Safe for porcelain, steel and iron grills (hot or cold)
· Ergonomic hand
le keeps hands away from heat and provides maximum leverage

When my package arrived, the first thing I thought was "Wow, this is huge". I was kind of afraid it was too big.

This is a picture of my 7 year old daughter holding it. This shows you how big it really is. She was super impressed. I couldn't wait to use this the first day I got it. Unfortunately, mother nature wasn't so keen on me grilling out. It was storming; thunder, lightning, and high winds. Not conducive to grilling out. Thankfully the next day, the weather was nice.

I have a fairly large grill that has three burners. This means lots of grill space to cook on; but it also means more to clean. The last time I had grilled we had made BBQ ribs so there was a lot of gross stuff on the grate. I was ready to try this baby, I mean Daddy, out.

The Grill Daddy was assembled for the most part. All I had to do was fill it up. I did have trouble with water leaking out when I filled it. Not a lot of water, but enough to mention. I have just learned not to hold it rightside up until I get to the grill.

The directions were simple and easy to understand. After heating up the grill for 10-15 minutes you just turn the knob on the grill daddy to "on". There are two different areas to use. One is for really tough, baked on, grime. The bristles are sturdier here than the main part of the cleaner. I had no trouble getting all I cared to get off of the grill. It took about 3-5 minutes of scrubbing. It worked best when I left it in the "on" position. If I turned the water off it was harder to clean. I guess this makes sense. The steam from the water worked great at cleaning even my super dirty grill.

Here are the results.

Ta Da . . . . Looks so much better, huh? You can see all of the stuff that fell off of the grate down on the burner. Pretty gross stuff. But, now the part that the food is going to touch is squeaky clean.

If you like to grill but hate the cleanup, this is the tool for you. The price of $19.99 is very reasonable, I think. This cleaner seems like it will last so much longer than the others I have used.

This looks like a great way to clean the grill and encourage my husband to grill more in the summer months when it is too hot to cook indoors!
