Master Innovations, LLC  is a company that has some really neat math manipulatives which started off with the Master Ruler.  They wanted every child in the classroom to have one.   While trying to achieve this goal, they have also came up with the Master Clock, Master Fractions, and Master Angles. 

When you look at the Master Ruler, you will see it is not just your ordinary ruler.   When I was chosen to do this review, I thought, why do I need another ruler?  My children have several but when we got this in the mail, I was in awe.  I was also a little intimidated.  We received the metric and the standard ruler to try. This thing looked pretty complicated.  Of course, Griffin thought it was way cool.  After looking at it for a minute, I could see how it would work and realized it was very easy to use.

The Master Ruler is SEVERAL rulers in one!  The only ruler of its kind that makes learning to measure easy and fun!  it is available in standard, metric and there is a special teacher's model that is designed for use with overhead projectors. 

Each fraction has its own color and index tab for easy identification and separation. 

Ideal for learning equivalent fractions, scale drawings, area, perimeter, and various map skills.

The Master Ruler only costs $9.95 and is very durable because it is made out of hard plastic.   It also is nice because it is hooked together so our family (who loses everything) only has to keep track of one ruler. 

This has been perfect for Griffin who is doing Key To Measurement right now in math.   He loved using this ruler instead of his regular wooden one.  Bella and him measured all kinds of things the day we got this.  They were telling me how many centimeters and 1/2 inches the silverware is and how wide the TV screen is. 

This ruler really has made learning measurement fun for my kids.

Smiley guide:

1 Smiley -  Product not really for our family.  Probably wouldn’t buy.  This really should probably be a frown face but we hate to be negative.

2 Smileys - Would maybe buy this product if on sale.   Not a great fit for our family.

3 Smileys -  We really liked this product and would  probably recommend this to friends and fellow homeschoolers.

4 – Smileys – Definitely would buy this if the budget would allow.  We suggest you check this out to see if it is a fit for your family.

5 Smileys – Would sell the family pets to get this one (just kidding).  A must have for our family and we think you should get it too.
