Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic – Review

I never had any problems with my stomach until I had my first child.  As a kid I can remember always having to stop on vacation for my Dad to go to the bathroom.  It seemed like we never got anywhere because we were always stopping.  As a child, I had no sympathy for him.  I didn’t understand it.  I don't think probiotics like Member's Mark 4X probiotic's were available when I was growing up.  If they were, he sure could've used them.

Now, as an adult, I totally get it.  There are certain things I just cannot eat.
Onions.  No way.
Milk.  Sometimes.
Beef.  Only if I want to spend the night on the potty.

For the last several years, I have limited where I go because I just never know when my stomach is going to hurt.  I’m pretty certain I have IBS.  I’ve never talked to my doctor about it because it’s embarrassing.
I’ve read a lot about probiotics.  I have wanted to try them to see if they would help my stomach issues.  I also know that they help keep you healthier by promoting healthy bacteria in the colon.  My kids have been taking probiotics for several months and have been pretty healthy.  No doctor visits for us since March.  I just haven’t spent the money on myself or my husband yet to try these.
I was offered the opportunity to do a review of Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic as part of a social shopper insight for Collective Bias and MamaBzz.  I did not promise a favorable review, just my honest opinion Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic and to share my shopping experience. As part of this, I shopped at Sam’s Club to purchase this product.

Our local Sam’s club really isn’t that local for me.  It is about 35 minutes away.  But, definitely worth the drive.  I love to go to Sam’s.  This trip was really nice because they DSCN0392have all of their Halloween candy out. If you don’t have a Sam’s club, I guess I should mention they are a store where businesses shop.  In order to shop there you have to buy into a membership so you can get great prices. You don’t have to own a business to join.  That’s the reason for the huge displays and big boxes.  This is bulk buying at it’s best.  It’s a great place to buy items to stock up.
DSCN0394They also, of course, have Christmas items.  Since it seems like it’s never too early to start shopping for Christmas.  Bella asked if we could get the 16 foot Christmas tree for our house.  “Only if we are going to put it outside cuz our ceilings are only 10 feet.”  DSCN0393  What other store can you shop for trees and snow boards in the same aisle? They have a great Christmas aisle with lots of toys and decorations.  If you don’t have a membership, you can shop there, with a percentage added on for not being a member.  I’m thinking it’s 10% added.

This is one of the beautiful bouquets you can buy at Sam’s.  The flowers are amazing and very reasonably priced.
Now for the reason for my trip.   The pharmacy.
DSCN0397 They have every kind of over the counter medication you could ever want.  They are in large sizes or 2 bottles of each.  I found the Probiotic’s easily. DSCN0399 They come in a package of 2 bottles.  I can’t wait to take them to see if they help my stomach.  There are 84 caplets which is a 6 week supply.  The price of $28.88 is a little cheaper than the normal pharmacy for this type of product.  Of course, Member’s Mark is Sam’s line of products so this isn’t available anywhere else.

Another thing I love about Sam’s is that the lines are never long.  I have never had to wait here like I have at other store’s.  They don’t have bags though, so be sure to bring your own from home or you will end up with a trunk load of groceries spread all over the back.  The only thing I didn’t like about this particular trip was there were no samples of food out.  I guess they only do that on the weekend.
Please check back in about 2 weeks to see what I think about the probiotics.  I will let you know if they helped me feel better or if I could tell a difference.
