E-Mealz – TOS review

Are you always wondering what you will fix for supper.  Do you find that it’s 5:00 and you still don’t know what you are going to cook for your family?

If you have been there, E-mealz may be just the thing you need.  This is a website that helps you manage your food budget and allows you to enjoy delicious recipes right at your fingertips.

How does it work?  It’s as easy as

E-mealz has 28 different dinner menu plans to pick from.  There are regular family meal plans which includes 7 meals for 4-6 people.  The stores are Kroger, Publix, Wal-Mart, Any store, ALDI and Ralphs (CA).

You can also choose a Regular Meal plan for Two which serves 5 meals for 1-2 people.   This includes Wal-Mart, Any store, ALDI and Publix.

There are then two different specialty plans.  One for families and one for 1-2 people.   These are great for people who have special needs with their diets.   The specialties include Gluten Free, Low Carb, Low fat, Portion Control, and Vegetarian.

Each meal plan is ONLY $1.25 a week.  It’s like having a personal chef give you a recipe each day and then an organized grocery list that is done by sections of the grocery store.

The founder of E-Mealz is Jane DeLaney.  She is a mother of four and wife of an associate pastor.  After having trouble getting dinner ready each evening for her family, she decided she needed a simple system to uncomplicate getting her family around the table.

Each of the menu plans allow you to spend around $80 a week on the ingredients.

The first three weeks, I chose to get the Kroger list.   It is very easy to access the website.  You can log on anytime during the week.  You always have access to the menus for two weeks.  You are able to access this week and last weeks menu.  I printed each menu out and kept them in the kitchen so I could see it every day.  The menus are simple, easy and kid friendly.

E-Mealz charges $15 every 3 months for their service.  The recipes are only repeated every 5-6 months.  There is a great variety of recipes and if you pick a store, they will correspond to the weekly sales at that particular store.

I did notice that my Kroger store didn’t have all of the sale items that the list said.  The prices were a little off but I think that Kroger’s in different cities have different prices.   I was lucky because I had a lot of the items in my stock pile so my grocery budget has been great while doing this.  One week it was only $70 and that included all our meals, not just dinner.

Our favorite meal we had was baked spaghetti.  I played with the recipe because my husband is now a vegetarian.  I substituted soy crumbles for the hamburger and the kids didn’t even know it.  I have a picture but my memory card is at my friends.  As soon as I get it I will post a picture.  I used my baking stone and it was so easy to make.  I think that is my favorite thing is that the recipes are so easy to do.

If you want to make dinner time easier, try E-mealz.  It is a very inexpensive way to get great recipes along with a detailed shopping list.
